His career
Edouard Schmitz is a Swiss show jumping rider who has quickly established himself as one of the most promising young talents in the world of equestrianism. He took part in the European Championships for young riders in 2017, 2018 and 2019. In 2022, he won the Nations Cup in St. Gallen and was part of the winning team at the GCL Super Cup in Prague. In 2023, he continued his winning ways with victories in St. Gallen and Dublin, as well as a bronze medal at the Nations Cup Final in Barcelona. He also distinguished himself as a finalist in competitions such as the World Cup in Bordeaux and Amsterdam, where he finished second.
Edouard Schmitz has benefited from training with leading figures in the equestrian world such as Thomas and Martin Fuchs, developing a professional approach to managing his horses and competing. His rigour and determination have enabled him to reach the highest level and represent Switzerland at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
